2024 First Round Mock Draft with Adham Beydoun and Jeff Iafrate

We’re officially 3 days away from the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit.

JEFF: Easy decision here. Chicago Bears select Caleb Williams. Williams is the consensus #1 prospect, has a “franchise-altering” aura surrounding him. Chicago have never had a 4,000 Yard Passer in team history, time to change that.

ADHAM: Recent reports of an outspoken, unhappy Jayden Daniels in relation to the Washington Commanders puts that pick into question. Still, the pick is Daniels. Peronally, I love Quarterbacks that overcome adversity, and Daniels fits the billing with 3 OC’s in 3 seasons at ASU.

JEFF: Patriots are in a tough spot, with Quarterbacks going 1-2, trading up to No. 3 Overall might be too step of a price for most teams. New England are stuck here, my gut tells me they should take Marv, but will go high-risk, high-reward with Drake Maye.

ADHAM: The second-easiest decision of the draft would be Marvin Harrison Jr. falling to the Arizona Cardinals. Although GM Monti Ossenfort loves to be active, staying put and taking a franchise Wide Receiver is the right move here. Enjoy, Kyler.

PROJECTED TRADE WITH LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

JEFF: Minnesota have to leap frog New York here to avoid any possible threat of their quarterback being taken. Minnesota send their two first-round picks to Los Angeles to select J.J. McCarthy.

ADHAM: Minnesota left New York with a no-brainer. Either Malik Nabers or Rome Odunze. The pick is in, Giants select Malik Nabers, Wide Receiver out of LSU.

PROJECTED TRADE WITH TENNESSEE TITANS

ADHAM: A Win-Win for both the Jets and the Titans. New York moves in and grabs the last remaining big-time Wide Receiver on the board in Rome Odunze, meanwhile the Tennessee gain some draft capital and only fall to Pick 10.

ADHAM: Byron Murphy to me, has everything it takes to be the best defensive player in this draft. Explosive, and garners a ton of attention at the line of scrimmage. Raheem Morris and Co. bolster the interior of their defensive line.

JEFF: Thanks Adham, the Chicago Bears have officially won the 2024 NFL Draft. Caleb Williams and now Dallas Turner? Easy choice here.

PROJECTED TRADE WITH NEW YORK JETS

JEFF: Trading back to 10 leaves me with who I wanted to take at 7 anyways. Tennessee have to protect Will Levis to give him a fair shot. Joe Alt goes 10th Overall to the Titans.

JEFF: Jim Harbaugh loves nothing more than Offensive Lineman and Tight Ends. Trading back and acquiring two first-rounders put Los Angeles in a position to take the best Tight-End in the class, Brock Bowers.

PROJECTED TRADE WITH DENVER BRONCOS

JEFF: Theme for the Detroit Lions should be “quality over quantity”. Quinyon Mitchell, who I believe is the best corner of the bunch was worth trading up for. Yes, a little pricey with a future 2nd and 3rd involved, but it addresses a position of need. Detroit gets their CB-1 for the future and are equipped to make their Super Bowl run.

Jeff Iafrate from Crunch Time shares his latest Detroit Lions Mock Draft.

JEFF: Vegas are in a position where they’d like to trade back, but there won’t be many suitors. Vegas stays put and selects Terrion Arnold out of Alabama to help improve a secondary that struggled last season. Arnold will serve as a chess piece for Antonio Pierce.

ADHAM: Tough to see teams moving back here in the mid-teens. New Orleans need to protect Derek Carr, and Olumuyiwa Fashanu may be the best pass-protecting tackle in the class. Huge upside here and a pick that addresses protection concerns.

JEFF: Keep the Iowa Cornerback in the Mid-West. The Indianapolis Colts improve their secondary and take one of the 3 best corners in this draft class with the 15th Overall Pick.

ADHAM: Mike MacDonald and company couldn’t be happier with how the draft board has played out. Seattle select Jared Verse to improve their pass rush that already features Leonard Williams and Boye Mafe.

JEFF: Jacksonville’s secondary was pathetic last season, no need to think too much here. Nate Wiggins is brought in to help improve a below-average secondary, and hopefully a defense that can give Trevor Lawrence the support needed to take back the division.

ADHAM: I really thought Brock Bowers would fall to me here at 18, thanks Jeff. No worries, Cincinnati address the interior on the defense after losing DJ Reader in Free Agency to the Detroit Lions. Bengals select Jer’Zhan Newton out of Illinois.

JEFF: Sean McVay and Les Snead will be running this name to the podium. Improve the Offensive Line by selecting easily the best run-blocking tackle in the class, Taliese Fuaga. Matthew Stafford and Kyren Williams are happy men.

ADHAM: If Pittsburgh have any hope of getting the best play out of Russell Wilson or Justin Fields, protecting them is a must. Mike Tomlin loves players that aren’t polished with high-upside, his coaching should do the trick, Pittsburgh select Amarius Mims.

JEFF: Main focus should be keeping Tua Tagovailoa upright and drafting the best center available. Jackson-Powers Johnson is an athletic freak that plays with a great amount of intensity and physicality.

ADHAM: I’m not in love with what the Philadelphia Eagles are at the moment. Secondary is an issue, Kool-Aid McKinstry is a solid pick here for them. You’ll be able to move on from Slay eventually.

PROJECTED TRADE WITH MINNESOTA VIKINGS

JEFF: What does Jim Harbaugh love more than Tight Ends? Offensive Lineman! Troy Fautanu is an absolute steal here at 23. Chargers have easily had a Top 3 First-Round so far.

ADHAM: I love Jeff’s enthusiasm here, Fautanu was the pick for Dallas if he didn’t take him. I’ll gladly settle for JC Latham. Dallas are screwed with the Dak situation, might as well make the most of it.

PROJECTED TRADE WITH GREEN BAY PACKERS

ADHAM: In typical Baltimore fashion, they make a move no one expected. Baltimore trades up 5 spots with Green Bay and select what most consider a Top 10 prospect in Laiatu Latu. Pleasure doing business with you Green Bay.

ADHAM: Graham Barton. Don’t overthink it Tampa Bay.

JEFF: Second-Best Center available in the draft here for Arizona to take. Give me Zach Fraizer to work with Kyler Murray for foreseeable future.

ADHAM: Great, we traded Stefon Diggs and haven’t fired our Head Coach. I can’t fix this situation, but I’ll make it slightly better…Buffalo select Adonai Mitchell.

ADHAM: Trading back with Detroit was the right play. Denver needs the draft capital and are very aware they can likely get the Quarterback that fits best with what Sean Payton likes to do. Denver select Bo Nix at 29.

PROJECTED TRADE WITH BALTIMORE RAVENS

JEFF: Trading back and still getting the guy I wanted at 25 is a good business. Green Bay select Mike Sainristil at 30.

JEFF: The Offensive Line needs help. John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan don’t overthink this, Tyler Guyton out of Oklahoma is the best of the bunch available. If anything were to develop with Brandon Aiyuk, then I would consider Wide Receiver here.

ADHAM: How do we make up for the Skyy Moore draft pick and Rashee Rice likely being suspended? Draft Troy Franklin.
